Victorious Village Cricket Teams

2013 was a great season for the local village cricket club based at G E Aviation in Kings Avenue. The club, playing under the name of Folland (Hamble) C.C, were successful in winning league titles with both their 1st and 2nd teams and as a result secured promotion for both sides to Hampshire League County 3 South and Regional Div. 2 South respectively in 2014.

Previous entries to this website have also highlighted the emerging success of the junior section started by the club 3 years ago. Having entered the Winchester Warriors League in 2013, they are looking to build on the progress of last year and expand their growing number of players in 2014.

Whilst a cricket club has existed in Hamble for many years, many local residents do not know of its existence or whereabouts. 2013 has to be considered one of our most successful seasons to date and we would like to encourage more local involvement with the club, either by playing, being a viewing supporter or perhaps umpiring or scoring on match days. We are looking to hold a sprinkling of Sunday Friendly games during the summer to encourage players of any ability to get involved and have a go. Please feel free to come along to the home ground at Folland Park in Kings Avenue and meet the members or contact the Club Chairman: Terry Gover on 01489 798842.
